It is the only payment processing platform solution leveraging the Microsoft Azure cloud in order to provide unique insights into consumer behavior for brick-and-mortar retailers. Historically, these insights have only been attainable to online merchants. LedgerPay gives retailers a dramatically more complete and relevant view of customer preferences, while simultaneously making payment options more reliable and cost effective.
As a Microsoft solutions provider, Quisitive works with clients across multiple industries and sectors. This exposure makes it possible for Quisitive to recognize business challenges that have the potential to be positively impacted by technology.
Through work in the financial technology, retail, and payments space, Quisitive identified two pain points that urgently needed to be addressed. First, legacy payment processing systems were outdated and archaic, unable to take advantage of cloud architecture, creating a frustrating and expensive drain for many retailers with very limited value.
Additionally, it became clear that brick-and-mortar retail merchants such as grocers, quick serve restaurants (QSRs), and dollar/convenience retailers are at a disadvantage compared to e-commerce retailers when it comes to personalizing customer experiences. They have a limited ability to gain detailed information about the purchasing behaviors of individual consumers, leaving them to broad-brush guesses when it comes to pricing, promotions, and assortments. While loyalty and coupon programs help, they have historically low participation which leaves merchants with massive blind spots as to who their most loyal customers are and what they buy.
Quisitive determined that while customers and merchants have evolved, and the usage of credit and debit cards is constantly increasing, the payment processing landscape on a whole has remained static. In a world where artificial intelligence and machine learning are revolutionizing entire industries, the legacy players in payment leave valuable data “on the floor” with no ability – or inclination – to leverage purchase data to benefit merchants. Payment processors are little more than non-value-add cost centers for merchants, despite having access to deeply rich purchase information that could be enormously powerful if placed in the right hands.
With a payment processing solution required by every merchant, a change in the landscape was sorely needed.
Thus, LedgerPay was founded under Quisitive with the mission to disrupt the status quo of payment processing for brick-and-mortar retailers and transform payment transactions into beneficial, profitable, and actionable experiences.
